Singer Christina Grimmie killed in Florida shooting, suspect dead

Last night, Christina Grimmie's brother Marcus attended a vigil for her in Evesham, New Jersey, where he opened up about her tragic death.

Hundreds mourned Grimmie in a candlelight vigil held in her hometown of Evesham, N.J. Monday night.

"I found out this morning that Adam Levine personally called my mother and said he will pay for her funeral and her plane flight, and I was blown away", Marcus on . "And we're blessed to, so I'm at a great peace right now".

With regard to his sister, Marcus said, "She's in a better place". "You guys didn't know her like I did, so thank you".

According to People magazine, the singer, who died at 22, will be laid to rest in her home state of New Jersey.

Now the music world will always wonder, "What could have been?" as fans, friends, and family prepare to say goodbye to Christina. Orlando Police Department officials tell WKMG-TV that Grimmie was shot Friday night at The Plaza Live, where she was scheduled to perform.
